When booking with the World Outside please sure that you have read the following information and that you agree to the following terms and conditions before booking

Terms and Conditions

  • All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

  • Strictly one adult for up to three children to minimize on-site numbers. If extra assistance is required please book an extra adult separately

  • If you or any member of your household feels unwell on the day of the session, please refrain from attending.

  • Restrooms are located at the main arboretum visitors’ centre. Please use them before attending the session.

  • Please be aware that admission to the arboretum is not required for participation in an event hosted by The World Outside. However, please note that purchasing an event ticket does not grant access to the arboretum. If you'd like to explore the arboretum or visit the farm before or after your World Outside event, a separate ticket for the arboretum will be necessary.

Weather

Given the time of year, sessions may be subject to sudden cancellation. Kindly ensure that you have added Ticket Source to your mailing list, as this will be our primary means of contacting you via email should a cancellation occur. Please monitor your email inbox and spam folder for messages from Ticket Source regarding this event

Booking Agreement

By making a booking, I, as the parent/guardian of the participants, hereby agree to my child/ren participating in the activities. I confirm that I am aware of no medical or other reasons why they should not take part and that my child is physically capable of engaging in the activities. While the activities are well-supervised and assessed for risks, I acknowledge that they still entail a certain level of risk and potential danger. I commit to informing the forest school leader of any medical or other conditions (not mentioned in the provided questionnaire) that may affect my child's or the accompanying adult's participation or medical treatment before each session begins. I acknowledge that the activities involve potential hazards that may lead to injury, and I accept these associated risks. I will be accountable for the actions and participation of my child and any accompanying adult following the initial safety briefing.

In the event of an emergency during forest school sessions, I consent to the participants receiving necessary medical treatment. If a parent is not present, I authorize The World Outside Staff to provide written consent on our behalf, as required by hospital authorities, with the understanding that every effort will be made by World Outside Staff to contact the provided emergency contacts.

Meeting Location

We will assemble in front of the Visitors Centre, unless otherwise specified (Postal code: DY11 5TB). Please ensure that you arrive at least 10 minutes before the session's start time, as we will promptly proceed to the forest school area to allow ample time for the planned activities.

Clothing

Please make sure that anyone accompanying your child to forest school is aware of the necessity for layered, warm activity attire, including pants, a long-sleeved top, and sturdy footwear. Additionally, bring waterproof clothing and a change of clothes, along with wellies if it's wet. Skirts, open-toed shoes/sandals, sliders, flip-flops, crocs, or flammable clothing are not permitted. For winter, please bring a hat and gloves; for summer, a hat and sun protection cream are recommended. A change of clothes for the journey home is advised.

Please note that if the forest school leader deems either the participant or accompanying adult to be inadequately dressed or in violation of the aforementioned terms and conditions, participation may be denied, and no refund will be provided.

Refunds/Cancellations

Once tickets are confirmed, they are non-exchangeable and non-refundable (except in the case of event cancellation). In the event of a date cancellation due to weather or circumstances beyond the control of The World Outside and the forest school leader, you will receive a discount code for a complimentary session in the next term's under-fives sessions or a school holiday session. Please contact Sandra at sandra@theworldoutside.co.uk or call 07765 394456.

An event will only be cancelled in the case of extreme weather conditions, low attendance, or events beyond our control. If a decision is made to cancel an activity, all participants and parents/guardians will be notified at the earliest opportunity, and refunds will be issued.

If refunds are processed through Ticket Source for any reason, they will be subject to a £1 administration fee.
